"Wow! I (Nicole) am 14 almost, and I'll be a sophomore in High
School this year. My friends will just die when I tell them I slept
in a tree house in Hawaii!!

"Suki and Puli are such good dogs! Big Keith caught a gecko this
morning! It seems like a very romantic place. I want to honeymoon
here! You don't get many chances to inhale nature like this.

"Thank you Linda, for the chance to stay here.

"Also, thank you Mareko (is that how you spell it?) for dinner and
breakfast, and for taking me and big Keith back packing. I had a
lot of fun. Be sure to try the rope swing!

"Lots of luv / Nicole

"P.S. I only saw 2 cats, not 4. But that's OK. Oh yeah, make sure
you bring your loved ones. My parents are a lot closer together now."
"And to make sure you understand,
Nicole illuminates her manuscript
with a charming little doodle."
"Because, apparently the Treehouse not only incites the muses,
it inspires artistic renditions as well. Not even the professional's
immune from the temptation of the 'postman's vacation.'"
"This journal entry is titled 'Parthenogenesis,' and it explains
how a lady Hawaiian leaf-cutter can live off of flowers and re-
produce without inconveniencing herself with a male, and it
concludes with, 'lucky bug.'"
"Geckos seem to have broad appeal. everyone from eight to eighty,
seems to like to sketch them, as you can see in this quick collage
we threw together with a few of them."
People like to sketch themselves and each other, too. Here's one
from a family who stayed here. Did they have fun!
"There's some really nice ones
of the plants."
"Plus, there's plenty of sweet ones about Waipio, of course,
like this exquisite little ball-point pen on papper..."
"Or how about this one?"
"I'm not sure how well their picture describes it, either."

"But the main thing that's sketched, drawn or doodled
in the Journals is the Treehouse itself, in picture
after picture, after picture, like these...
"And, I guess what I'm really trying to describe here is
that if you've ever pictured yourself living in a Treehouse,
perhaps the time is Now..."
